Episode 128: Never Alone and the Gifts of Our Ancestors: A Conversation with Amy Fredeen (Right click and save as to download, or find us on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, or TuneIn).
Last night we were privileged (nay blessed) to have a conversation Amy Fredeen of the Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC). Amy is the Executive Vice President and CFO of CITC as well as the CFO of E-Line Media and the Lead Cultural Ambassador on the beautiful platformer Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna).
The week we talk about tribal memory, stories, community, connection, and where the idea for the game came from (as well as the steps that it took to get there). Once in a great while you experience something so powerful that it helps you realize the connection between souls, bodies, and stories and that was the experience that we had with this podcast.
Understanding the connection between other people and their stories can also help us to understand our connections to our own stories. Through that sense of connectedness we are given the opportunity to learn to respect and appreciate each other and our interconnectedness. This knowledge of connection is the gift of her ancestors that Amy Fredeen shared with us this week. And this is the gift that we, in turn, share with you.
