Episode 55: Mommy Dearest: A Mother’s Day Tribute to Mamas Who Game With Their Kids (“Save As” to download or head over to iTunes to subscribe)
The episode where we hear from mothers who game with their children (in myriad ways). We are joined this week by Jennifer, the mother of our own Alex Layne. We also have a couple of other special guest testimonials for you to check out. It’s a fun way to spend Mother’s Day and to work on convincing your own mother to game with you.
We also want to say congratulations to the winner of our latest contest. Sarah is now the proud owner of her very own copy of Forza for the Xbox 360. Enjoy and see if you can get your mother to join you for a few laps around the track. (A t-shirt is coming to Alexander B. for giving it one hell of a try!)

Happy Mother’s Day! Great podcast. Gamer moms are awesome.
Yay sweet! Thanks. Me likey t-shirt. 😀
That beginning was just too cute, cuteness overwhelming. XD
The angry orchard cider is pretty good, I’ve only had one but it’s on my drinky list.
My mom Teren, doesn’t really play any games by herself but she would always play with my sister and me like Mario, M.C. Kids and Bubsy and she would always listen to whatever rants or stories I had about whatever game I was playing. She still moves the controller and kicks her leg to get extra help on a big jump. lol
Alexander, if you just shoot me an email at nymgamer(dot)gmail(dot) com to tell me where to send your shirt and what size you would like. I think that we still have med-extra large (maybe 2XL)
Is that .gmail or @gmail?
Which ever the largest one ya got is. 2-XL would fit me and the other would fit my mom or sister. 🙂
Oops, yes that should be @gmail.com.
Is that me Sarah? If so then wah! I can’t believe I won. I never win these sort of things haha.
My mom never was fond of playing with me and my brother. We usually exclusively played with each other and my dad sometimes jumped in (he’s currently struggling through the Resistance series, making a fuss over how the “monkey” at the end of the third one was giving him trouble haha). About the only game my mom would play was, ironically, Super Monkey Ball haha.
Yes, it is Sarah you. Just shoot me an email and let me know where you want me to send it. I am also on campus a lot for the next month if you’re around.
