Where/Who in the World is Carmen SanDiego?…I Mean Alisha K!

So by now you may be feeling a little nostalgic for a game of Where in the World is Carmen SanDiego? as you begin to ask yourself “Who in the world is Alisha Karabinus?” By now you may have heard her on one podcast and and read one awesome post by her on realism and State of Decay so now you are really wondering. Well, here’s the scoop.

Alisha is a grad student at Purdue pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing. Her all-time favorite games include the Civilization series, Dead Rising (the first!), the Left 4 Dead series, Portal, and a handful of classic console titles she sometimes disappears with in fits of nostalgia. In the before-time, she has written about games and gaming culture for the Joystiq network, Tiny Cartridge, and other sites, though these days, she primarily concentrates on her novel-in-progress and a bevy of troublingly unfinished short stories. She and her husband have two lovely children, a dog, a cat, and three angry hermit crabs.
